When you play with fire, it is only a matter of time until you will get burnt, right? Over the last couple of months, I will be the first to admit that I have been playing with more than just fire. Take fire, gasoline, wood, matches and confetti and mix it all in a blender and you pretty much have my life. I have made some rash decisions, invited people back into my life, and had this ever so carefree attitude that is starting to just look bad. Burnt would be an understatement and I would use the word, torched when it comes to describing effects.

Now burns will leave scars and scars will stay with you forever. And I like that. The scar that I received from my accident almost ten years ago, reminds me every morning of everything that I have overcome and where I have taken myself, overtime. Scars are reminders. They are the lessons that stay with us and continue to remind us everyday of the changes we need to make or changes that we have made for ourselves.

As the week kicks off, reflect on your scars and remember how they got there in the first place. Was it a decision that you made? A responsibility you avoided taking? Or just a look back at the person you used to be? Once you begin to reflect on your scars, you will find yourself starting to avoid making the same mistake twice. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me xo
