This was one of those books that had so many people talking about it and suggesting it to me for my next read, that I was, from the beginning, kind of turned off. You know  when someone talks continuously about a guy that you haveeee to meet, and just rambles on and on about “this one time…” and “OMG you two totally have that in common,” that come the time you actually meet him, you’re kinda like, whatever. The mystery isn’t there anymore and you feel like you already know this guy without ever having spoken to him. So yeah, this book for me was my “yeah, whatever” read and I think that is why I finally caved in and chose it.

After sitting on my Audible wish list for what seemed like an eternity, I was curious to see where all the hype was coming from.  I will admit it was interesting from the very beginning. I also really liked the way the author composed her sentences and the words she used when trying to describe something so precisely. It was as if you knew exactly what she was speaking about. The story is told from two perspectives and I am finding lately that I actually enjoy stories like this the best. More times than none, I find I am always siding with or relating to one character more than the other and I feel authors do that on purpose, as if to reach a greater audience.

Without giving too much away, because I literally almost spoiled the whole book, (in my mind I did and on my laptop I did) the story is about two women,  who on the outside appear to be completely different, but on the inside are thinking the same, but with different objectives. Confused yet? This book has an amazing “ah-ha” moment and I believe it was that particular moment, that claimed all of the fame for The Last Mrs. Parrish

The Last Mrs. Parrish would make a great vacation read. It is one of those books that makes it hard to stop at the beginning of the next chapter and hard not think about during work hours.  I plan on checking out more of Liv Constantine’s books, as she has a couple of different ones out there, and I will let you know what I think, but I hope you enjoy this #goodread as much as I did xo

I love when I stumble upon things that are common very day items that we ignore. A lot of household items have other powers than what we use them for. All of us are guilty of buying over priced lotions, soaps, makeup, treatments and “quick fixes,” but I wanted to share with you the amazing uses […]

It has been a while since I have been a vacation, and I am not talking like a weekend vacation with girlfriends or a trip home to see Mom and Dad. I am talking like a real vacation: no cell phones, no TV, no plans, no worries. When it came to packing for this trip, […]

I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks mainly to the preparation I put myself through getting ready for vacation.  You know the deal; nails, hair, new bathing suits, facial, new outfits, finding someone to water the flowers… OK I don’t have flowers but it seemed like something people do. I have sent the […]

Summer is approaching! And it could come sooner. We have had a terrible winter this year in upstate New York, and for a couple of weeks, the idea of grass and sun seemed like something of just a daydream. Having survived my first winter back up North, I am very eager to return back to […]
